Isabel Dos Santos has been placed as the eight richest person in Africa. Being the only woman in the top 10 list, Isabel automatically becomes the wealthiest woman in Africa. With a net worth of $3.4 billion, she is the richest woman not only in Angola but also the african continent. Angola is the seventh largest country in Africa, generating its wealth mainly from oil and diamonds.
Isabel, the beautiful mother of three is number 534 in the world.
According to Forbes Isabel generated most of her wealth from investments.
She is also the oldest daughter of Angola's longtime President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos.
The billionaire is not immune to criticism about the source of her wealth.
There has been speculations in the local media about her president dad have had an influence in her amassing her wealth.
Forbes magazine recently reported that Isabel's assets in Angola include 25% of Unitel, the country's largest mobile phone network, and a stake in a bank, Banco BIC. It was reported that in Portugal she owns a nearly 7% chunk of oil and gas firm Galp Energia (alongside Portuguese billionaire Americo Amorim), and nearly 19% of Banco BPI, the country's fourth-largest bank. Forbes says the billionaire is also a controlling shareholder of Portuguese cable TV and telecom firm Nos SGPS (formerly called Zon).
